Barry Becker, principal of Becker Marketing Associates (BMA) has spent over ten years heading up marketing and sales for several companies: vice-president of marketing and sales for Palmtex, importer of palm-sized video games, San Francisco area, 1982-1983; vice-president, sales & marketing, Insoft, computer entertainment software company, Beaverton, Oregon, 1983-1984; and as vice-president of international sales & marketing, Eyedentify, a biometrics technology company, Beaverton, Oregon, 1984-1990. At Eyedentify, he set up the international sales operation and traveled over 500,000 miles managing the business around the globe.

Previously, he spent several years in sales for a consumer electronics rep firm in the San Francisco Bay area. Mr. Becker graduated with a B.A. degree in broadcast communications arts and marketing from San Francisco State University in 1976, and attended graduate courses and symposiums at both Columbia and Stanford Graduate Schools of Business.

Over the past ten years, BMA has conducted market research projects for international clients including the United Kingdom, and Australia. In the United States, BMA helped one major advertising agency on a consumer electronics market entry strategy and one quality control training company set up an independent manufacturers representative network. Within the biometrics industry, BMA handled marketing consulting projects for a Fingerprint technology company, a Signature Dynamics company and an Iris scanning technology company.

Mr. Becker is also principal of an independent manufacturers representative firm that covers the Pacific Northwest. His company represents vendors that market both consumer and consumer electronics products and are sold through many channels of distribution. His company has received numerous Rep of the Year awards and has developed excellent customer relationships with their accounts.
